Anthoni Levonsaari

What emerges when “social skin” is thoroughly shaken? Anormalia is a seriously playful piece about the suchness of the human form. It exposes the myth of normal and mischievously questions contemporary societal body ideals.

 

Anthoni Levonsaari earns his living as a Drama Instructor (BA in Performing Arts), Dance and Somatics Instructor and performing artist. His accumulated experience in butoh is twelve years. Recently he has concentrated on peer learning both with experienced and beginner butoh dancers. Since 2020 he has facilitated a weekly group and monthly workshops for butoh enthusiastics in Jyväskylä. In 2021 he worked as the Artistic Director of the Jyväskylä Butoh Festival. The festival was organized by the Yläkulttuuri association.
